On March 30, 2026, officers received a report of suspected fraud from an employee of a Walmart located on American Blvd. In the City of Bloomington, County of Hennepin. The employee suspected an individual, later identified as BLAZE FITZGERALD DAUPHINAIS [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, was trying to fraudulently return stolen merchandise for cash or store credit. As part of the attempted transaction the employee identified Defendant using his Minnesota I. D. Card and communicated the same to officers.
Officers learned that there was an active warrant for Defendant's arrest. Officers arrested Defendant as he exited the store. In a cross-body bag Defendant was wearing officers found used hypodermic needles, two pipes commonly used to ingest narcotics, and a baggie with 0.37 grams of field-tested positive fentanyl. Defendant is in custody in Hennepin County. Further charges may be forthcoming.
