On August 2, 2025 at approximately 2:40PM, Officer Weise of the Northfield Police Department responded to a call about a suspicious person parked outside of an apartment building on Koester Court in the City of Northfield, Rice County, Minnesota. The reporting party, D. B., told Officer Weise that she and her son, C. B., were bringing groceries up to C. B.'s apartment. D. B. Said that C. B. Recognized the man sitting in a car that was stopped at the nearby stop sign and told D. B., "I think that's him," referring to a previous interaction that C. B. Had with the man.
D. B. Said she looked over at the stop sign, and the driver, later identified as DANIEL THOMAS KENNETH [DOB REDACTED], yelled out and said, "What are you looking at?" D. B. Told Officer Weise that Defendant then got out of his vehicle from the stop sign, left the driver's side door open, and ran over to D. B. D. B. Said that Defendant was calling her names and spitting on her. D. B. Reported that Defendant told her that her son was a "piece of s***," that her son should be dead, and that her son is lucky that Defendant did not kill him.
D. B. Told the officer that she was scared at that moment and that she told C. B. To get into the house.
