Police received surveillance footage and determined that all three thefts were committed by the same suspect, who was identified as KELVIN CHRISTOPHER – [DOB REDACTED]. Maplewood Police Department CN: 25031587 On October 21, 2025, at approximately 6:31 P.M., CHRISTOPHER concealed two security cameras worth $34.99 each. CHRISTOPHER passed all points of sale without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.
Maplewood Police Department CN: 25031223 On October 29, 2025, at approximately 5:55 P.M., CHRISTOPHER selected a security camera worth $449.99 and placed it into a Menard’s bag. CHRISTOPHER passed all points of sale without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. Maplewood Police Department CN: 25031141 On November 2, 2025, at approximately 1:12 P.M., CHRISTOPHER placed a Bosch drill and impact driver combo kit, worth $199, and a Bosch hammer drill/impact driver/wrench combo kit, worth $249, and placed them in a plastic Target bag.
CHRISTOPHER passed all points of sale without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. In total, CHRISTOPHER stole $967.97 worth of merchandise from Menard’s from October 21 through November 2, 2025. For purposes of enhancement, CHRISTOPHER received a felony sentence for the following theft-related offenses within the past five years: Simple Robbery in Ramsey County District Court File No. ••-CR-••-•••• on September 26, 2025. In addition, CHRISTOPHER has the following theft-related felony convictions within the past five years: Theft in Dakota County District Court File No. 19HA-CR-23-1830 on March 13, 2024. Theft in Washington County District Court File No. ••-CR-••-•••• on November 9, 2022. The following information is offered for purposes of Rule 6.02. CHRISTOPHER has a pending charge of Third Degree Burglary in Hennepin County District Court File No. ••-CR-••-••••. A warrant was issued for his arrest when CHRISTOPHER failed to appear for a hearing on March 5, 2026. A conditional release revocation warrant was issued prior to the hearing.
