On October 13, 2025, approximately around 1:06 P.M., St. Louis Park Police Officers responded to reports of a past action theft at the Home Depot located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in St. Louis Park, Hennepin County. Upon arrival, responding officers spoke with Home Depot loss prevention staff. Loss prevention staff provided photographs and reports for several past action thefts occurring from July 28, 2025, until August 21, 2025. Officers reviewed the reports for each theft, and confirmed that on each occasion, the male suspect enters the Home Depot, selects store merchandise and places the store merchandise into a cart.
The male suspect then approaches the cash register and fails to pay for all of the selected merchandise. The male suspect then leaves the store with a mix of unpaid and paid merchandise. On each occasion, the male suspect used a Pro Xtra membership ID for each transaction. The Pro Extra membership ID was connected to an individual named "JASON ALLEN SUYDAM" [DOB REDACTED] "Defendant" herein. Further investigation revealed that the credit card used in each transaction was linked to Defendant. As part of the investigation, loss prevention staff were able to view the Defendant's Minnesota Driver's license and confirmed the male suspect viewed in the photographs matched the Defendant.
The total value of the stolen merchandise is $3,405.50. At present, Defendant is not in custody.
