On December 5, 2025, the Blaine Police Department received a report of a stolen bank card which was then used at multiple locations. P.M., "Victim" herein, stated that she discovered her bank card was missing on December 2, 2025, and learned that the card had been used that day for transactions not approved by her. P.M. Believed the card had been stolen while she was at work at Burlington Coat Factory at [ADDRESS REDACTED], city of Blaine, county of Anoka. The unauthorized transactions included $345.10 and $16.28 at Menard's, $35.12 at Northeast Tobacco, $28.60 at Crystal Liquor Warehouse, and $135.66 at Max it Pawn (transaction declined). Law enforcement contacted Menard's and received screen shots from a surveillance video that showed a male using the card to make the purchases.
The male, later identified as RYAN CHRISTOPHER ROBERTSON [DOB REDACTED], "Defendant" herein, is seen arriving and departing in a white Ford Expedition bearing MN License # FLS 857. Law enforcement learned the suspect vehicle was registered to J. K. W. Law enforcement observed that Defendant was a known contact of J. K. W. And that he had been involved in 5 prior thefts, including 3 at Menard's. Law enforcement reviewed a booking photograph of Defendant and body camera footage from his most recent arrest and saw that he matched the individual making the unauthorized transactions at Menard's. Law enforcement contacted Defendant who admitted that he was the male in the surveillance photos at Menard's, that he had used the card to make purchases and that he did not have the permission of the card holder to do so.
Defendant stated that he found the bank card in the parking lot the same day that he used it.
