On October 7, 2025, at approximately 1356 hours, Robbinsdale Police Officers responded to a vehicle theft report from Memorial Hospital located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] N, Robbinsdale, Hennepin County. The reporting party, D. S., stated that his black 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, Minnesota plate PUM028, was stolen from North Memorial Hospital. D. S. Stated he was delivering flowers to the hospital and left his vehicle running by the front entrance. He was inside the hospital for 2-3 minutes and when he returned, his vehicle was gone.
D. S. Did not give anyone permission to take his vehicle. Surveillance showed a male later identified as KELVIN JOHANDER ABAD-CORONADO, Defendant herein, pass by D. S.'s vehicle then turn around and get into D. S.'s vehicle and leave through the parking lot. Officers learned that the Defendant was discharged from the hospital earlier that day and was awaiting transport that was arranged for him to Chicago. The vehicle was recovered in Chicago. The Defendant has since been removed from the United States, and his location is unknown.
Therefore, the State requests this complaint issue as a warrant.
