On 10/31/2025 at approximately 0250 hours, an officer on patrol traveling south on Highway 169 observed a vehicle merge onto Highway 169 from Interstate 494 near the city of Eden Prairie, Hennepin County. The officer then observed the vehicle swerve between lanes and onto the shoulder, and reach a speed of approximately 80 MPH. The officer then activated the squad vehicle’s emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop of the vehicle. The vehicle began to flee from the officer, reaching speeds over 120 MPH and overtaking vehicles on the shoulder.
The vehicle then exited onto Highway 101 traveling in the wrong direction of traffic, at which point the officer discontinued their pursuit. After the vehicle changed its direction of travel, the officer continued its pursuit of the vehicle. The vehicle eventually lost control and crashed into the median causing the vehicle to roll over several times. The officer approached the vehicle and observed the driver to be Tobis Antione Williams, Jr., [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Defendant was placed under arrest for fleeing.
Based on observations of Defendant, a search warrant for a blood sample from Defendant was requested and granted. Defendant complied with the search warrant, and his blood was drawn and submitted for testing. Defendant is currently in custody.
