Ahmad Jamaal Montgomery

At around 1:45 AM on March 29, 2026, officers were sent to [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County on a domestic assault. Offices spoke to QJ [DOB REDACTED] who had significant bruising around her left eye and reported that her vision was blurry. QJ explained her boyfriend of 2 years, AHMAD JAMAAL MONTGOMERY [DOB REDACTED], came over. Montgomery was intoxicated. Montgomery started arguing with QJ for no reason and got into her face. QJ pushed Montgomery away. Montgomery punched QJ’s face 3 times with his fist.

QJ felt herself going in and out of consciousness, and she couldn’t see out of her left eye. QJ grabbed Montgomery’s nearby cell phone to call 911. Montgomery took the phone from QJ preventing her from talking to the 911 operator. Montgomery left, and QJ used her phone to call 911. Montgomery threatened to cut off her phone service which is on his phone plan. QJ went to Regions Hospital. QJ couldn’t open her left eye and her vision in that eye is blurred. Montgomery texted QJ while she was in the hospital asking for his keys.

Officers arrested Montgomery on March 30, 2026. Montgomery declined a custodial statement.
