On March 3, 2026, at approximately 2:47 P.M., police were notified by SPPD CCTV staff that there was a male with a warrant outside [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County. The male was identified as CHRISTOPHER CARL JOHNSON – [DOB REDACTED]. Responding officers confirmed the existence of the active warrant. Upon arrival, police approached JOHNSON. JOHNSON began running away from police but was apprehended and taken into custody. JOHNSON admitted to police that he was in possession of narcotics because he is a user.
Police recovered several items containing suspected narcotics from JOHNSON’s clothing. Presumptive testing results conducted on the recovered substances are as follows: Item 1, which was labeled “white powdery substance in Ziploc bag”, yielded a positive result for fentanyl and methamphetamine with a net weight of 2.18 grams. Item 2, which was labeled “white powdery substance, corner tied baggie”, yielded a positive result for cocaine with a net weight of 1.19 grams. Item 3 consisted of 3 bindles of tinfoil each containing suspected controlled substance of similar consistency.
One of the bindles, labeled Item 3A, yielded a positive result for fentanyl and cocaine with a net weight of.30 grams. The other two bindles had a total net weight of 1.47 grams. Items 4, which was labeled “loose rocks white in color x3”, yielded a positive result for cocaine with a net weight of.46 grams. The following information is offered for purposes of Rule 6.03. JOHNSON is pending sentencing on a charge of felony Fifth Degree Drug Possession in Ramsey County District Court File No. ••-CR-••-••••. A warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear for sentencing on December 12, 2025.
