On March 15, 2026, at approximately 1:49 A.M., Anoka County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a residence located on Bluebird Street NW in the City of Andover, Anoka County, Minnesota, regarding a male trying to gain entry into the home. Call notes indicate an adult female, BG, advised dispatch her ex identified as LAWRENCE LEVELL DAVIS, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter defendant, was at the residence, banging on windows and doors and trying to make entry into the home. Upon arrival, Deputies Brownfield and Urbaniak observed fresh footprints in the snow on the side of the house.
Deputies went to the back of the residence and noticed the lower-level screen door appeared bent off its tracks and was damaged. Deputies observed additional fresh footprints leading up to the deck area of the home and noted that door also appeared damaged. In addition, two security cameras were located laying on top of the fresh snow. Deputy Brownfield spoke with BG who stated she was sleeping in her room and was woken up to her door alarms going off and her son, PDJ, yelling. BG said she checked the security cameras and observed the defendant removing the cameras from their mounts.
BG went downstairs and saw PDJ pulling on the deck door from the interior. PDJ then ran downstairs because they heard noise on a door that leads to the downstairs portion of the house. BG saw the defendant on camera throw his body towards the screen door two times then run off. BG said the defendant first tried to gain entry into the home via the upper-level deck door then attempted to gain entry through the lower-level door. BG said she observed the defendant on the camera and that PDJ saw the defendant as he was trying to gain entry through the glass door on the deck.
BG indicated there is an active Order For Protection (OFP) prohibiting the defendant from contact with her, their five children and the residence. BG stated all five children were home at the time the defendant tried to gain entry into the home. Deputy Brownfield confirmed an OFP was issued in Anoka County District Court File Number 02-FA-26- 121 on March 4, 2026, and prohibits the defendant from contact with BG, their children and the residence in Andover. Law enforcement has been unable to locate the defendant, therefore a body only warrant is being requested at this time so that the defendant can appear in court and conditions of release imposed.
