On November 29, 2025, at approximately 9:35 A.M., Bloomington Police Officers were patrolling in the area of the La Quinta Hotel, located at [ADDRESS REDACTED]. W in Hennepin County, Minnesota, when they observed a vehicle parked in the parking lot which registered to a trucking company out of Georgia. However, upon performing routine checks officers were unable to obtain any information about the trucking company or the owner of the vehicle. Officers saw that the vehicle was unoccupied and approached it on foot.
From outside of the vehicle officers observed a plastic baggie in plain view on the floorboards. Officers saw that the plastic baggie appeared to contain suspected narcotics residue. Officers returned to their vehicle and again attempted to locate more information about the vehicle, but none was available. At this point, two individuals approached the vehicle. Officers saw that one of the individuals, subsequently identified as FONTANE FORSAYCIS HOLLIE, hereafter Defendant, was carrying two bags which he put into the vehicle.
Officers approached on foot and made contact with Defendant, who gave Officers permission to retrieve the plastic baggie from the floorboards. Officers again observed that the plastic baggie appeared to contain suspected narcotics residue. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle. In one of the two bags Defendant had placed in the vehicle, Officers located Defendant’s ID card and bank cards and 11.5 pills, weighing 6.64 grams of field-tested positive 4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, which is also known as MDMA and is a Schedule I controlled substance.
In a later, post-Miranda interview, Defendant admitted that the pills were his, that he knew they were MDMA, and that he knew they were in the bag.
