Probable Cause
At just after midnight on April 6, 2026, the Chaska Police Department responded to a report of an unwanted party at a residence on Ravoux Road in the City of Chaska, Carver County. Officer Bengtson responded and located Juan Luis Garza [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant, with his body halfway inside the residence and pushing parties within the residence. Defendant was restrained and stated that he had moved out of the residence several weeks ago and was attempting to get some personal items back.
Officer Miranda spoke with Y. R., who stated Defendant had never lived in the residence and did not have any belongings there. Y. R. States that she had heard someone knocking and observed Defendant begin entering the residence. Y. R. Stated she attempted to push Defendant out of her residence and that Defendant refused to exit and began pushing her back. Y. R.'s husband, A.M., came downstairs and attempted to intervene and Defendant began pushing him as well. N. G-L., lives at the residence with her parents and indicated she is the mother of one of Defendant's children, who was sleeping in a room on the main level.
Officer Miranda had been called to the residence in January for a similar instance and Defendant had been told by the occupants to leave and not return. Defendant had been advised at that time to address any custody matters in court. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49., intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
