Count 2BurglaryTheft
Probable Cause
On 10/26/25 at about 1340 hours, a suspect, later identified as Gullit Magn NYANG [DOB REDACTED], entered the Lunds & Byerly’s at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in St. Paul, Ramsey County. According to a Lunds & Byerly’s Asset Protection staff member, IB, he watched NYANG select $141.67 worth of merchandise and exit the store without paying for the merchandise. IB provided St. Paul Police CCTV footage of the event. NYANG had been trespassed from the property for a year as a result of a previous theft that occurred on 10/08/2025 (CN 25186310). IB was professionally well acquainted with NYANG from previous theft incidents and recognized him as the suspect.
A St. Paul Police Investigator reviewed the CCTV footage and compared it with a booking photo of NYANG from 10/16/2025 and confirmed that NYANG appeared to be the suspect. Finally, Lunds & Byerly's Operations Manager, LD, reviewed the CCTV footage and positively identified NYANG as the suspect. NYANG has a previous felony theft conviction; 27-CR-25-28463. For purposes of Rule 6.02, NYANG has an extensive misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor conviction history, a felony conviction for Theft (27-CR-25-28463), and failed to appear for sentencing on 3/30/26 for a felony 3rd Degree Burglary case (62-CR-26-60).
