On 10/13/2025 at 19:12, Scott County Deputies were dispatched to the Scott County jail, [ADDRESS REDACTED]., Shakopee, Scott County, Minnesota, to investigate a report that drugs were found on an inmate during booking. The inmate was identified as TARA RENAYE MOLNAU, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant. At the jail, the Deputy spoke with Corrections Officer Pieschhke, who turned dover a plastic bag that contained an unknown powdery substance. The bag was found by a corrections officer when searching the Defendant's pants.

The Deputy sent the substance to the BCA Forensic Laboratory for testing. On 02/26/2026 the deputy received the results from the BCA Forensic Laboratory which showed the substance tested positive for Methamphetamine and Alprazolam, a Schedule II and Schedule IV Controlled Substance, and weighed.035 grams.
