On March 22, 2026, at 1513 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to 695 and 733 7th Street East, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a female damaging property in the area. Witnesses reported that a woman, later identified as Taylor Jo Knutson, [DOB REDACTED], damaged an exterior light at 733 7th St, by taking it and smashing it against the side of the building. She also reportedly damaged butterfly decorations outside of the building. There was also damage to exterior gardening walls and decorations on the west side of the building.
Officers located Knutson walking near the Listening House. She admitted to damaging the light fixture. She rambled and said that she was angry. She said that she was running from an ex-boyfriend. She said that she is currently homeless. Officers arrested Knutson. She swore at officers and called her transporting officer a “dirty grey earthworm.” She was upset that she was arrested for breaking a “stupid light.” The estimate for repair and replacement came to $8,000. Knutson has felony convictions for Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Drugs in the Fifth Degree, both in 2024.
