On November 1, 2025, at approximately 1710 hours, EE reported to police that JIN CAGE, [DOB REDACTED], sexually assaulted her that afternoon at his residence on the 1900 block of Snelling Avenue North, Roseville, Ramsey County. The assault involved JIN penetrating EE’s vagina against her will and causing injury. Though tears, EE told police that JIN picked her up from Tomah, Wisconsin around 1100 hours and drove to his house on Snelling Avenue, arriving around 1300 hours. EE said they had friendly conversation throughout the car ride and were just hanging out and talking at JIN’s house when he asked if she wanted to take a nap.
EE agreed because she was tired. EE said she and JIN were cuddling on JIN’s bed and began kissing, which she was okay with doing. JIN then began escalating the contact and tried to take off EE’s clothes. EE told him to stop and said she didn’t want to go any further [sexually]. JIN ignored EE and continued to remove her clothes. JIN said he was “going to molest” her and “abuse her physically.” He took off his clothes and penetrated her vagina with his penis. EE said she told JIN to “stop” multiple times throughout the assault but he didn’t stop until he was done.
The sexual assault caused EE to bleed vaginally so JIN took her to a store to get feminine pads. They returned to JIN’s house where EE waited for JIN to take a nap. EE then told him she was going to go for a walk to help with cramps. She left the residence, walked to a fast-food store and called 911 for help. EE was taken to a hospital where she underwent a forensic medical examination. During the exam, EE said she has known JIN via Facebook for more than a year but does not identify him as her “boyfriend.” The day of the assault was to be their first date.
After getting to his house, they were both tired so they laid down. They were cuddling and kissing which was okay. JIN started to take things further and EE told him to “Wait. We need to stop right here,” she was not comfortable and wanted to keep her clothes on. JIN responded that EE “started it” as he rolled on top of her and took off his clothes and her clothes. JIN then began kissing EE all the way down her body, including on the breasts and vaginal area. He then “stuck his thing in my thing,” clarified as stuck his penis into her vagina.
EE repeatedly told JIN to “stop” but he didn’t. JIN put his hands around her throat and told her to “stop moving.” He squeezed her throat, causing her to feel like she was “breathing through a straw,” able to get some air but “not enough air to live.” EE ultimately “gave up,” “just laid there like [she] was dead” and tried disassociating as best as she could. EE said JIN is much bigger than her and she didn’t want to get physically hurt. She said JIN has muscles and she’s tiny, every effort she made to defendant herself just made it worse.
