On or about January 11, 2026 at approximately 9:35 P.M., officers responded to a residence on 36 ½ Avenue Northeast in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota for a report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival on scene, officers spoke with the reporting party, identified as Victim [NAME REDACTED] (“Victim” herein). Victim [NAME REDACTED], MADISON MARIE AHMAD, [DOB REDACTED] (“DEFENDANT” herein), assaulted him. Victim stated he and DEFENDANT were both consuming alcoholic beverages in the home, and they got into an argument.
Victim stated DEFENDANT threw glass bottles on the floor during the argument. Victim told officers that DEFENDANT got on top of Victim, [NAME REDACTED] in the face, and strangled him. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was hard to breathe while being strangled. Victim confirmed with officers that he was in a romantic and sexual relationship with DEFENDANT. Officers noted Victim had multiple scratches and fresh blood on his face and neck. Officers also noted bruising on Victim’s neck. Victim was transported by Hennepin EMS, and records indicate responding personnel noted contusions on Victim’s neck.
Officers arrested DEFENDANT in the home. DEFENDANT stated that she and Victim had been drinking alcoholic beverages that night and Victim [NAME REDACTED] would not give Victim [NAME REDACTED]. DEFENDANT was not asked about any assault and did not admit to assaulting Victim. DEFENDANT is in custody on this charge.
