On or about December 08, 2025, Law Enforcement were dispatched to the area of the 21000 block of Ulysses St. NE, in the City of East Bethel, Anoka County, MN, on report of a theft that just occurred. R. C., General Manager of Northway Sports, reported that a male driving a green ATV just took tires from behind the business and they were now following the ATV. Law Enforcement subsequently located the green ATV turning from Sims Road NE onto Polk Street NE and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as TRENTON THEODORE TROVIK [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein.
Law Enforcement observed Defendant was pulling an ATV tire and snowmobile track behind the green ATV. When asked about the tire and track, Defendant stated that he got the items from a nearby dumpster. Law Enforcement reviewed surveillance footage from Northway Sports that shows Defendant retrieving the ATV tire and snowmobile track from a dumpster. While investigating the report of the allegedly stolen items, Law Enforcement observed there was no registration visible on the green ATV Defendant was driving.
When asked about the green ATV, Defendant claimed that the ATV showed up on his property a few weeks earlier. Defendant further stated that he believes a friend dropped the ATV off at his property after a friend took a trailer from his residence. Law Enforcement located a VIN on the ATV and ran it through dispatch. Law Enforcement learned the ATV was previously reported stolen out of Isanti County. The ATV was confirmed as stolen. Defendant was arrested.
