On November 10, 2025, law enforcement was contacted regarding an assault that had occurred in the City of Andover, Anoka County, Minnesota. Deputies met with the reporting party, SLP, who reported that while in her vehicle at the Lucky’s gas station located at Crosstown Boulevard and Bunker Lake Boulevard, she and her daughter, PRECIOUS CLARICE MICHELL HORNSBY [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein, got into an argument. During that argument, the Defendant threw a cup of hot coffee at SLP, which caused her to feel pain and a burning sensation.
SLP indicated they began to argue because she believed that the Defendant was under the influence of narcotics and “nodding off.” Deputies observed coffee all over SLP and the interior of the vehicle. Deputies spoke with the Defendant who claimed that she accidentally spilled the coffee and that SLP had been attempting to argue with her but she had ignored her and had not engaged. Later, the Defendant claimed that the two had been arguing about finances, and the coffee had only accidentally spilled after SLP had assaulted her, based on where Deputies observed the coffee staining on SLP and in the vehicle, this did not appear feasible.
The Defendant has two prior qualified convictions which enhance this matter to a felony, specifically: 1. Threats of Violence in 19HA-CR-17-1596 with a conviction date of August 30, 2018 and 2. Felony Domestic Assault in ••-CR-••-•••• with a conviction date of March 25, 2019.
