On May 10, 2026, at approximately 2:12 A.M., police responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, on a report that a female was assaulted and strangled. Upon arrival, police spoke with KSMH, who reported that she had been in an on again/off again relationship with MARCUS ANTON LEE – [DOB REDACTED], for the past two years, and LEE had been staying at her apartment for the past couple of days. KSMH said that she no longer wanted to be in a relationship with LEE due to problems in their relationship and described it as toxic.
KSMH stated that they argued about it then she went upstairs to lie down on the bed. KSMH reported that LEE followed her into the bedroom then KSMH made a comment about how LEE’s mom raised a boy. KSMH stated that LEE grabbed her and got her lying on her back then grabbed her throat with both hands and choked her. KSMH reported that she was unable to breathe while being strangled. KSMH said LEE let go of her throat and punched her in the face then choked and assaulted her again several more times.

While strangling her, KSMH reported that LEE told her, “I will kill you in this house.” KSMH said that she thought she was going to die while being strangled. KSMH bit LEE’s hand, which made him let go and allowed her to leave the apartment and go to a neighbor’s apartment for help. One of KSMH’s neighbors allowed her to use their phone to call 911. While on the phone with 911, KSMH said she returned to her apartment and saw LEE throwing things around the living room.
KSMH reported that LEE ran out of the apartment when he saw that she was on the phone with 911. KSMH told police that LEE took her phone when he left. Police noted that KSMH had red marks and scratches on her neck consistent with being strangled. Police also noted that her eyes were bloodshot, and her lip was bleeding.
