Probable Cause
On March 11, 2026, at approximately 8:50 P.M., officers responded to a 911 call from a residence on the 2300 block of Pillsbury Avenue South in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. There officers encountered Victim, [NAME REDACTED], who stated that his son, Defendant MOHAMED IBRAHIM ABDI ([DOB REDACTED]), had attacked him. Victim reported that Defendant frequently shows up intoxicated asking for money for drugs. He stated that Defendant attempted to burn his door down with a lighter. Officers observed burn marks on the door.
Victim also said that his son put his hands around his neck, inhibiting his ability to breathe and causing him to feel dizzy. Victim's PCA was present for the assault and reported to officers she saw Defendant's hands around Victim's neck and that Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant is in custody.
