On or about December 6, 2025, Bloomington Police responded to a report of a physical domestic at [ADDRESS REDACTED], in Bloomington, in Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers arrived and spoke with the reporting party, Witness 1 herein, she told officers that a female had knocked on her door and asked her to call the police. Witness 1 stated that the female appeared scared and she observed blood on her clothing and around the female’s mouth. Witness 1 said that she thought the female would wait in the lobby of the apartment building, but she was not there.
Officers responded to the originally dispatched apartment in an attempt to contact the female. Officers met with a known adult female, Victim herein. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was approximately 25 weeks pregnant with the child of CHRISTOPHER GIBSON AKA CHRISTOPHER DEON GIBSON JR. [DOB REDACTED], DEFENDANT herein. Victim [NAME REDACTED] into an apartment together and have lived together in the past. Officers observed dried blood around Victim’s mouth and lips and dried spots of blood on her jacket. Officers also noted a paper towel wrapped around her left ring finger.
Officers noted that Victim had a scratch on her left temple area and bruising forming on the bridge of her nose. Victim informed officers that the got into and argument with Defendant about feeding a pet lizard. Defendant became upset and he started calling Victim names. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was done talking to him because she felt like he would keep escalating the argument. Defendant became upset and approached Victim from behind and shoved her from behind and shoved her onto the bed. Defendant then grabbed a pillow and began to punch her in the face.
The side of Defendant’s fist hit Victim’s nose. When Victim [NAME REDACTED] had hit her in the nose he stated: “I don’t give a f***.” Victim felt blood coming down her face. Victim tried to get up form the bed and Defendant punched her again in the nose at the bridge of her nose. Defendant then took Victim’s phones, she has two, because she wanted to call the police and leave. Defendant told her she was not getting her phones back and locked himself in the bathroom with both of her phones. Victim went to get her iPad so she could text her brother to call police.
Defendant left the bathroom and then snatched the iPad from Victim and threw it across the room. Victim told Defendant to go back into the bathroom so that she could leave. Defendant said, “No, you are not leaving.” At this time Victim started to cry when speaking with officers about what happened. Defendant locked the bathroom door again and Victim [NAME REDACTED] in to retrieve her phones. Defendant opened the door, grabbed Victim [NAME REDACTED] one hand and began to push her into the hallway.
Victim then went and fed the lizard. Defendant pushed her from behind. Victim then left the apartment and went to an apartment and knocked on the door and asked the female who answered the door, Witness 1, to call 911. Victim then called 911 from Witness 1’s phone. Officers located Defendant in the apartment. Defendant admitted he took Victim’s cell phones. Defendant was placed under arrest. In a search incident to arrest, officers located Victim’s phones in the left front 2 ••-CR-••-•••• Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 12/9/2025 pocket of his sweatpants.
