On or about November 21, 2025 at approximately 7:51 PM, Officer Mokey of the Blaine Police Department responded to a reported disturbance occurring at a residence located on 5th Street in the City of Blaine, Anoka County, Minnesota. Officers were advised that a female suspect, identified as AMANDA JEAN DIETRICH, [DOB REDACTED], the Defendant herein, assaulted a male. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a female in the driveway, S. M. J., who stated that Defendant was intoxicated and had assaulted both herself and the male homeowner, S. A. H. At that point, S. A. H. Stepped out of the house and stated that Defendant was inside the house destroying things.
Officers found Defendant hiding inside. Defendant was handcuffed and escorted out of the house. While walking out, Defendant kicked S. M. J. In the shin. S. A. H. Advised officers that when he arrived home with S. M. J., he found his kitchen trashed and Defendant sitting on the floor. Defendant was homeless and S. A. H. Allowed Defendant to occasionally shower at the residence. When asked what she was doing sitting on the floor, Defendant attacked S. A. H, going for his throat with open hands. S. A. H. Advised that he gave his phone to S. M. J. To call 911, but Defendant followed S. M. J. And tried to grab her by the hair and push her to ground.
When S. A. H. Got the phone again and walked out the front door to call 911, Defendant attacked him again, using her right arm to throw punches to S. A. H.'s face. Defendant was arrested and transported to Anoka County Jail. A review of Defendant's criminal history does not show any previous qualified convictions.
