On March 8, 2026, at 0818 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to a domestic assault at an apartment complex on Barclay Street, St. Paul, Ramsey County. Officers met DAM, [DOB REDACTED], outside of the building. DAM explained that her ex-girlfriend, Camisha Netanya Jones, [DOB REDACTED], had taken her keys, locking her out of her apartment. DAM said that Jones came over to hang out. Jones became angry when she noticed that DAM received flowers from someone else. Jones struck her in the eye with a fist.
Jones wrapped both hands around DAM’s neck, shaking DAM and pushing her body against the wall. DAM said she could not breathe and saw bright lights. Jones said, “I will kill you. I’m going to kill you.” DAM said she thought she would die. DAM scratched Jones, stating she hoped there would be DNA under her nails if she died from the assault. They fell to the floor. DAM kicked at Jones and escaped. Jones fled from the apartment taking DAM’s keys and cell phone. Officers observed and photographed redness around DAM’s neck, as well as redness under her eyes and scratches near her chest and neck.
Jones has convictions for Assault in the 4th Degree (2022); Possession of a Firearm by an Ineligible (x2, 2018 and 2021), and Simple Robbery (2015).
