On February 4, 2026, at 1040 hours, Maplewood police officers responded to Community Dental, [ADDRESS REDACTED], Maplewood, Ramsey County, on a report of auto theft. PV reported that she arrived at the clinic and placed her coat on a chair. The keys to her 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe were in the pocket of her coat. She looked outside and noticed that her vehicle was no longer parked where she had left it before entering the clinic. About 30 minutes later, she saw a male, later identified as Xavier Nivre Williams, [DOB REDACTED], drive into the parking lot in her vehicle and park it in a different spot.
She confronted him. He returned her keys and said that he just wanted to take the vehicle for a ride. Clinic staff advised officers that Williams was in the restrooms. Officers located him there and arrested him. He stated that he had no idea why officers arrested him. He said that he did not know PV, and he denied taking her vehicle without permission. Police recovered video. The video shows Williams sitiing down in a chair that has a jacket on it. Williams immediately begins going through the pockets of the jacket and appears to take the vehicle keys.
After taking the keys, Williams immediately exits the clinic and searches through PV’s vehicle. After opening every door and searching the vehicle, Williams returns inside. A little over an hour later, Williams exits the clinic, enters PV’s vehicle, and drives away. A little less than 20 minutes later, Williams is seen returning in PV’s vehicle and PV appears to confront Williams. Williams is seen walking back into the clinic while PV follows him. Williams has a prior conviction for Aggravated Robbery on April 7, 2022.
