On or about 06/16/2026, at approximately 1125 hours, officers responded to the intersection of Main Street & 18th Avenue North in Hopkins, Hennepin County, Minnesota for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a female, victim hereinafter. The victim told officers that her boyfriend, Keith Anthony Pierro [DOB REDACTED], had shot at her. The victim told officers that the two were arguing and she got into her car to leave. As she drove past Pierro, she heard him state, “I’m about to shoot this b****.” The victim said Pierro pulled out a gun and started shooting at her while she drove away.
The victim told officers she started to duck as she drove away. Furthermore, the victim indicated that Pierro's mother, who was identified as Kathleen Loyd [DOB REDACTED], defendant hereinafter, drove Pierro away from the scene. The victim indicated that the defendant observed the entire incident. Witnesses observed Pierro fire 2-3 shots at the victim [NAME REDACTED] was driving away. Additionally, officers observed a.40 caliber casing on the pavement in the intersection. Officers noticed what appeared to be two fresh bullet sized holes on the right side of the rear of the victim’s vehicle.
Officers observed what appeared to be an older bullet hole that was rusted on the front of the vehicle. Officers spoke with Pierro over the phone, and Pierro told officers that the bullet hole was from a past incident. Officers were unsure of the defendant's and Pierro's whereabouts and asked them to turn themselves in. Investigators discovered Pierro's phone showed in the area of the 2600 block of Girard Avenue North in Minneapolis. Officers located the vehicle driven by the defendant and Pierro parked unoccupied in front of 1424 25th Avenue North, Minneapolis.
At approximately 1430 hours, Pierro and the defendant turned themselves in to Hopkins police department, but arrived in a different vehicle than they fled the scene in. Officers observed Pierro in the same clothes as witnesses described him to be wearing during the incident. The defendant is currently in custody.
