On September 10, 2025, CODY MARTIN MAY [DOB REDACTED] was found guilty of simple robbery in Ramsey County District Court file 62-CR-25-488. On December 12, 2025, May failed to appear at his sentencing on that case, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 20, 2026, officers were sent to [ADDRESS REDACTED] East, St. Paul, Ramsey County on an unwanted male named Cody who was at that address. A responding officer searched previous calls at that location and discovered May was the unwanted male.
The officer discovered that May had warrants for his arrest out of Ramsey County and Polk County, Wisconsin. The officer saw May near the alleyway when he pulled up. The officer called May by his first name, and he told May that May had a warrant and was under arrest. May fled to the front of the residence and entered the front porch. Another man opened the porch door for the officer. A man inside the home pushed May out and prevented May from entering. May tried to leave the front porch, but the officer grabbed May and took him to the ground.
May continued to resist until other officers arrived and placed May in handcuffs. When asked why he ran from officers, May said officers didn’t have probable cause to stop him. When told that he had a warrant for his arrest, May asked how officers knew who he was. A single.22 caliber round of ammunition fell from May’s pocket when it was searched. May complained of chest pains and claimed he had swallowed drugs. May was taken to Regions Hospital and was medically cleared. May has prior felony convictions for burglary in the third degree, receiving stolen property, and terroristic threats.
May’s terroristic threats and simple robbery convictions make him ineligible to possess ammunition.
