On May 13, 2026, a male, hereinafter victim, reported to the Anoka Police Department he had been robbed at gun point by four males. Victim identified two of the male suspects as YARNEZ DWAYNE LEWIS, [DOB redacted], hereinafter defendant 1 and YDL, [DOB redacted], hereinafter defendant 2. The initial information was victim met up with the four suspects and while at the Cul-de-sec at Euclid Avenue and Oak Street, in Anoka, Anoka County, Minnesota, the victim was robbed and assaulted at gun point. On May 14, 2026, Anoka Police Investigators Aase and Adler spoke again with the victim about the incident.
According to the victim, he met up with defendants 1 and 2 to purchase THC pens for $90. Victim said he met with defendants 1 and 2 and two others in the Cul-de-sec at Euclid Avenue and Oak Street. Victim stated he got into the vehicle and sat behind the driver he identified as “Elijah.” Victim said defendant 2 was in the front passenger seat and defendant 1 was the rear right-side passenger seay. Victim stated there was a fourth male he only knew as “Isiah” who was sitting in the middle rear passenger seat.
While they were sitting inside the vehicle the driver exited, indicating he needed to retrieve something from the trunk. The driver then opened the rear passenger door where the victim was seated and jumped in, grabbing the victim. At the same time, the middle male passenger “Isiah” grabbed the victim in a headlock fashion, removed a gun from his waistband and pressed it to the back of the victim’s head saying, “where’s the money, where’s the money, where’s the money?” The victim said he was then pulled out of the vehicle and robbed.
Victim stated all four of the males were running through his pockets or frisking him while he was being assaulted. The victim said “Isiah” struck him in the face with handgun in a piston whip fashion. The victim said the four males stole his wallet containing $90 as well as his cell phone, however his phone was later recovered down the street by a citizen. Law enforcement have been unsuccessful in locating any of the male suspects and due to the serious nature of the allegations a warrant complaint is being requested so that defendant 1 may appear in Anoka County District Court and conditions of release may be imposed.
