On November 5, 2025, at approximately 0257 hours, SHH reported to police that she was sexually assaulted at a restaurant located on the 100 block of Grass Place Lane, Shoreview, Ramsey County. SHH identified her assailant as “Christian,” later fully identified as CHRISTIAN GONZALO MUNOZ GUAMAN, [DOB REDACTED]. SHH said she met MUNOZ GUAMAN less than a month ago on Facebook when was looking for nighttime work. MUNOZ GUAMAN offered her a job with “his” cleaning company. On the night of the assault, SHH was working with MUNOZ GUAMAN cleaning the restaurant on Grass Place Lane.
MUOZGUAMAN directed her to clean the women’s bathroom. While cleaning, the bathroom lights suddenly went off. SHH went to use her phone for its flashlight function and realized she had left it on a table in the dining area. As SHH tried exiting the bathroom, MUNOZ GUAMAN entered it and pushed her back into the room. MUNOZ GUAMAN pushed SHH against one of the walls and put himself behind her. She felt a “bulge” on her leg and thought it was MUNOZ GUAMAN’s wallet. MUNOZ GUAMAN then pulled down SHH’s pants, pulled out his penis and inserted it into SHH’s vagina.
MUNOZ GUAMAN told SHH to “release herself” and “let go.” He also said words to the effect of, “I want to be with you. I have not been with a woman in a while.” SHH tried to break free from MUNOZ GUAMAN but he had her hands behind her back and his full weight on top of her. She was unable to push him away. MUNOZ GUAMAN then threw SHH onto the bathroom floor as he continued to hold her hands behind her back. MUNOZ GUAMAN again penetrated SHH’s vagina with his penis and thrusted until he ejaculated.
SHH said she had a panic attack and wanted to cry. She splashed cold water on her face and told MUNOZ GUAMAN that she was going to report what he did. MUNOZ GUAMAN told her no one would believe her because she’s a really old female. After the assault, SHH left the restaurant, got in her car and started having a panic attack as she was driving. SHH was afraid MUNOZ GUAMAN would hurt her if she called police due to previously hearing stories of people who were killed so assailants could avoid jail.
SHH sent her husband a message saying she wasn’t feeling well but didn’t tell him about the assault. Her husband told her to pull over and he would pick her up. SHH pulled over and called 9-1-1, hoping for an ambulance. SHH looked at her phone and saw that at approximately 0102 hours, MUNOZ GUAMAN had sent her a text which roughly translated to, “You are very pretty and I can’t deny.” SHH is married and was not interested in a relationship with MUNOZ GUAMAN. She never gave him consent for any form of sexual contact or penetration.
Responding officers noted that SHH was crying and shaking as she spoke with them. SHH provided a description of MUNOZ GUAMAN and he was located shortly thereafter in a vehicle by the service entrance of the restaurant where the assault occurred. MUNOZ GUAMAN told officers that he worked for a cleaning company and had accidentally locked himself out of the restaurant. He twice claimed to be working alone. Officers conducted a show-up identification and SHH positively identified MUNOZ GUAMAN as her assailant.
