The reporting party identified himself as JOSHUA PAUL FEEHAN, [DOB REDACTED], the above‐named defendant. The Defendant reported that on February 2, 2025, he and his now‐ex‐girlfriend, S. W. Got into an argument at their residence. He reported that during the argument, he had picked up her phone and refused to give it back to her. He said that tried to call 911 through the voice controls but that it didn’t work. He said that it devolved into a physical altercation for the phone and that initially didn’t think he got hurt, but now noticed some bruising on his body.
The next day, Officer Hanson spoke to S. W. Who remembered the argument and that the Defendant wouldn’t give her the phone back. On May 21, 2025, S. W. Provided Officer Hanson a recording of the argument. In the recording, the Defendant can be heard picking up S. W.’s phone and saying “I want to check and see how many people you’ve been talking to.” S. W. Tells him to “give it to me.” The Defendant repeatedly refuses. The verbal argument escalates to the point where S. W. Asks the voice assistant to call 911 for her, but she doesn’t physically have the phone and the call doesn’t go through.
S. W. Can be heard saying she was scared and asking someone in the background to use another phone to call 911. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
