On March 7, 2026, at approximately 11:41 P.M., Metro Transit Officer Reardon was riding in the conductor’s cab of a train in the area of Fairview Avenue Station, [ADDRESS REDACTED] West, Saint Paul, County of Ramsey, when he observed a male on the train through the door window manipulate a small container in his hand. The container had a white powdery substance. The male tapped a metal tool commonly used to separate drugs into a use amount on the lid of the container. Office Reardon exited the cab, grabbed the male’s hand, and identified self.
The male was told he was detained. Officer Reardon tried to remove the suspected drugs from the male’s hand, but the male gripped harder. Officer Reardon pulled the substance from the male’s hand. The male was handcuffed and removed from the train at the LRT Fairview. The male provided his name as Mushin Jama, [DOB REDACTED]. This name did not return on file. The male was searched. Additional suspected drugs were found in the male’s pants pocket, jacket, and sock. The male said he had a “G” in his sock.
The drugs in the sock was a crystal-like substance in a plastic baggie. The male lost his balance when he arrived at the squad car and had to be held to prevent him from falling on the ground. The male was told to sit in the back of the squad car While there, he went unconscious. Narcan was administered and medics responded. An IBIS machine was used to identify the male as MUHSIN SULEMAN JAMA, [DOB REDACTED]. JAMA had a warrant out of Hennepin County for VOCSL 5th Degree. JAMA was transported to Regions Hospital, and was later released.
An officer field tested some of the suspected drugs. Item #2, net weight.39 grams, result positive for the presence of methamphetamine. Item #4, net weight.58 grams, result positive for the presence of fentanyl.
