Probable Cause
Cloud Police responded to a residence on the 1700 block of University Drive SE in the city of St. Cloud, Sherburne County Minnesota. Caller was reporting that his son's vehicle was missing and believed stolen. Owner of the vehicle was available over the phone but was otherwise out of the country. He indicated that nobody had permission to drive his car. It was believed that his brother, Abdinajib Ahmed Ali, Defendant hereafter, was responsible for taking the car. Defendant has a history of doing such things in the past.
The car was listed as reported stolen. Bloomington Police had contact with the stolen vehicle on 03/25/2026, finding Defendant in the driver seat and another person occupying the passenger seat. Both individuals were arrested due to outstanding warrants. The vehicle was towed. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
