Now I will administer the oath to the Office of Police Office. I will administer the oath to the City of Minneapolis. Please raise your right hand. With each of you solemnly swear that you will support the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution and laws of the State of Minnesota, the charter that ordinances of the City of Minneapolis, and that you shall, in recognition of your service as a peacekeeper, first to know harm, and hold and safeguard the sanctity of human life and shield and protect your community from those who seek to cause harm.
