Dakota County Attorney’s Office offers Youth Accountability Programs

Hello, I'm Kathy Keena, the Dakota County Attorney. One of the responsibilities of the Dakota County Attorney's Office is to prosecute all levels of crime committed by juveniles in Dakota County. As part of that responsibility, we offer several different youth accountability programs, also known as diversion programs, as an alternative to charging a juvenile and bringing them into court. Programs are available to first-time offenders who are alleged to have committed low-level crimes such as property offenses, disorderly conduct, or alcohol or cannabis offenses.
