April 18, 2026 On April 18, 2026, an officer with the Eagan Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Tiffany Circle North in the city of Eagan, which is within Dakota County on a report of a burglary that had occurred the day before on April 17, 2026. The officer made contact with the residence’s two residents, an adult man and woman fully identified in police reports, hereinafter “Victim-1,” and “Victim-2.” Victim-2 reported that she had woken up around 2:30 am and heard noises that sounded like doors opening and closing, but that she did not investigate because it was not unusual for the house to creak.
Victim-2 further reported that she heard a more significant noise at approximately 4:00 am, but again did not investigate. Victim-2 elaborated that she went down later in the morning and realized the home was very cold, at which time she discovered that the back door to the residence was open, which was unusual because she and Victim-1 normally kept it closed. Victim-1 reported that he had yet to do a complete inventory of the residence’s contents, but that two 1,000-ounce silver bars had been taken from the downstairs area of the home.
Each bar weighed 70 pounds and was valued at approximately $80,000. Victim-1 indicated to law enforcement that there was one individual who he suspected of the burglary, Braidy Glen Allen. Victim-1 reported that Allen had lived with Victim-1 and Victim-2 for a period of time, and that Allen was aware that Victim-1 and Victim-2 stored the silver bars and other precious metals in the basement. He elaborated that he had previously helped Allen purchase a vehicle, and that he had also previously caught Allen using Victim-1’s company credit card to pay for personal expenses.
Victim-1 and Victim-2 showed the officer the back sliding door to the home. Sawdust and wood shavings were observed on the exterior of the residence. Furthermore, there were two freshly drilled holes under the door’s handle as well a wire-type tool left by the exterior of the residence. It was surmised that whoever broke in drilled the holes and used the wire tool to unlock the door. Victim-1 showed the officer the utility room area where he had stored the precious metals that had been stolen. One silver coin was observed to have fallen onto the ground, which Victim-1 reported would have 2 19HA-CR-26-650 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 5/7/2026 happened during the burglary.
Multiple boxes in the room were also observed to have been opened and/or damaged recently. Victim-1 indicated that he had not done this. Additional officers from the Eagan Police Department arrived and processed the scene for evidence. Further investigative work regarding material recovered at the scene is ongoing. April 20, 2026 Victim-1 followed up with law enforcement indicating that during the burglary four boxes containing 23 100-ounce bars were also stolen. These bars had serial numbers and had not been touched by anyone until the day of the burglary.
