At one of the apartments, located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in the city of Minneapolis officers located a number of Air Jordan shoes that one of the owners of Chin Chin reported belonged to him. Officers were also able to obtain a call detail record (CDR) for the area of the burglary between 2:43 am and 4:31 am on November 25, 2025. The CDR showed a phone number known to be associated with Defendant to be in use in the area of Chin Chin at the time of burglary. It is understood by law enforcement that Defendant entered Chin Chin with D. L. P., and R. D. L. S., and stole the items mentioned above.
Also on November 25, 2025, officers with the Saint Paul Police Department were also dispatched to the Garibaldi Mexican Restaurant, which is located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in West Saint Paul, in Dakota County, on a report of a burglary. Garibaldi is approximately a block away from Chin Chin. At Garibaldi, officers met with the restaurant’s owner, who reported that the restaurant’s check book was missing. The front door of the restaurant had also been smashed. In reviewing security footage from that morning officers were able to observe two men approach the restaurant at approximately 1:50 am.
One of the men used what appeared to be a pry bar to open the front door before crawling into the restaurant. While he could not be observed exiting the restaurant it is understood that this individual took the check book from Garibaldi’s and then fled the restaurant. The aforementioned CDR placed Defendant’s phone in the area of Garibaldi at the time of the burglary. Furthermore, given law enforcement’s understanding that Defendant burglarized Chin Chin, the close proximity of the two restaurants, and the fact that surveillance footage shows the suspects in each burglary wearing similar clothing, it is understood that Defendant also participated in the burglary of Garibaldi.
