During the afternoon hours of April 25, 2026, officers employed by the Deer River Police Department observed a vehicle being operated in Deer River by Katera Rose Goggleye [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter "Defendant." It was confirmed that Defendant has an active felony arrest warrant out of Cass County. The vehicle was parked at a gas station. Officers entered the gas station and observed an individual matching the description of Defendant. When asked by one of the officers what her name was, Defendant responded, "Clarissa." Defendant was asked to produce identification and she told officers that it was in her vehicle.
Defendant was allowed to go to the vehicle but did not produce her identification. She was then detained and provided a full name of "Clarissa Renee Wilson" with a date of birth of June 5, 1982. This name and date of birth was determined to be associated with a real person. Defendant's father eventually arrived on scene and confirmed that the officers had indeed detained his daughter and that her name was not "Clarissa Renee Wilson". Defendant was then formally arrested and transported to the Itasca County Jail.
During the booking process, Defendant admitted that she was in possession of fentanyl. Jail staff discovered a plastic bag containing a white powder in Defendant's possession, which was found to weigh 11.44 grams. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
