This case involves a law enforcement encounter.
Your complainant employed by the Coon Rapids Police Department. In that capacity, complainant has reviewed official police reports and has learned substantially the following: On April 3, 2026, at approximately 8:451 A.M., Officer Beberg was dispatched to Yucca Street N. W. And Coon Rapids Boulevard N. W., Coon Rapids, Anoka County, Minnesota, regarding a report of a verbal domestic. While en route, officers continued to receive updates that a male and female were now getting into a physical altercation and the male was attempted to hide something in the parking lot.
Dispatch received another call that a crazy man was chasing him with a shovel. Dispatch continued to hear what sounded like a struggle and a voice repeatedly saying "get out of my face." The black male was described as having dreads and a black puffer jacket. On arrival, officers observed a male and female standing next to each other and the male appeared to be yelling aggressively toward two other people. Officer Beberg attempted to separate the group. Officer identified the male as Pierre Jerome Moore, Jr., [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, and the female as A. E. M. S. And an elderly male as P. R. S., the stepfather to A. E. M. S., who had a cut on his forehead which was actively bleeding down his nose.
Officers learned that defendant and A. E. M. S. Were in a heated verbal domestic which led to A. E. M. S. Yelling for help and waking up P. R. S. When P. R. S. Came to the location, he attempted to remove defendant from his house and a physical altercation occurred between them causing a cut to P. R. S.'s forehead. When advised defendant was under arrest for fifth degree assault, defendant became verbally aggressive toward officers and made several references to his property which appeared to be a clothes hamper in the parking lot.
Officers located a Glock 23 handgun with a loaded 20 round extended magazine. Officers learned defendant did not have a permit to carry. Officer Weinberg spoke with a witness, [NAME REDACTED]B. R., who said she was leaving the parking lot and noticed defendant yelling an another male. J. M. B. R. Said she rolled down her window and asked defendant if he needed help. J. M. B. R. Said defendant told her he needed to get out of the area. J. M. B. R said A. E. M. S. Came up to her and told her not to help defendant because he had a firearm.
J. M. B. R. Then said defendant reach into his waist band and take something out. J. M. B. R. Said defendant grabbed a light colored pair of pants and wrapped up what he took out of his waistband and put into a clothes hamper.
