Bennie Ray Cromedy

On January 17, 2025, officers were dispatched to a residence in Burnsville, Dakota County, after Witness 1 called police to report that BENNIE RAY CROMEDY [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, had been arguing with Witness 2. Defendant told Witness 1 he was going to get his firearm to scare Witness 2. Defendant retrieved a gun from his bedroom, went back into to the living room, and shot the gun off. Witness 1 saw Defendant holding the gun, but didn’t see him pull the trigger. Witness 2 reported hearing a gunshot while he was downstairs and went upstairs, where he observed Defendant holding a gun.

Officers found what appeared to be a bullet hole in the stairwell/living room area. Defendant appeared intoxicated to officers. Officers obtained a search warrant and found two handguns in the residence.
