At approximately 2:25 pm on November 23, 2025, an officer from the Eagan Police Department responded to a report of a young child walking alone near Lexington Avenue in the City of Eagan, within Dakota County. The officer located the young child [NAME REDACTED] from his home. The young child reported that he left home because his father, Anthony Michael Hahn [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, had been yelling at him and his siblings and grabbed his older brother by the arm and pulled it very hard.
The officer went to the residence to check on the welfare of the child’s older brother. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to Victim A (a juvenile male fully identified in the reports), and he reported the following facts. The defendant became upset because he did not wash the dishes quickly enough. The defendant grabbed his arm, twisted it, and slammed it on the top of the oven. The defendant was red in the face and put his face very close to Victim A’s face. The defendant threatened to snap Victim A’s arm in half and said the “f-word.” Victim A reported that the defendant has a history of committing acts of physical abuse.
One time the defendant threw Victim A to the ground, causing bruises. Another time the defendant held Victim A’s arms behind his back and made his younger brother punch Victim A in the face and body. Victim A said the defendant does stuff like this “to make them into men.” Victim A also reported that the defendant uses methamphetamine when he is present. Victim A said he has witnessed the defendant smoke out of a glass meth pipe in the house and said the defendant often becomes angry after using drugs.
The defendant has called Victim A “retarded” and tells him that he wishes that he were not alive. The defendant has also told Victim A that he killed Victim A’s mother and dumped her in the river. An officer spoke to the defendant. He denied any abusive behavior and claimed he was patient with the children. He acknowledged that he was aware Victim A’s younger brother had run out of the house. He claimed he was worried about Victim A’s younger brother and was close to calling the police himself.
