On March 11, 2026, law enforcement was dispatched to a hotel in Hastings, Dakota County, Minnesota, after multiple reports of a disruptive intoxicated female. The female herself, later identified as KRISTIN LEIGH EVERSON ([DOB REDACTED]), Defendant herein, also called 911 swearing at dispatchers, threatening to kill an unknown party, and claiming a group of men attempted to rape her. Upon arrival law enforcement observed Defendant approaching asking for help. The officer identified himself and asked if she had called 911 and needed assistance.
Defendant walked past the officer holding what looked like a green vape in her right hand. Defendant turned around and jabbed the officer in the chest with the green device which had a red light illuminated on it. Defendant was arrested and the device was recovered. The device was later determined to be a VIPERTEK Micro Stun Gun. The VIPERTEK Micro Stun Gun is marketed as professional self-defense equipment. The officer noted that when powered on, the stun gun displays a red light. The officer tested the stun gun, and it was in working order and emitted an electric current when activated.
Hotel staff reported seeing Defendant attack two other guests prior to calling law enforcement. Law enforcement spoke to Defendant who appeared severely intoxicated. During the conversation, Defendant oscillated between being calm and becoming irate, threatening officers, and screaming. Medics were dispatched to assess Defendant. While being assessed, Defendant kicked one of the paramedics twice. Defendant was transported to the hospital. Upon arrival Defendant threatened a law enforcement officer saying she would blow him and his family up, that she would find him, and that his family would burn alive in about 24 hours.
While at the hospital, Defendant continued to threaten staff and attempted to kick one of them.
