On December 14, 2025, officers were dispatched to a residence in Inver Grove Heights, Dakota County, Minnesota, on report of a domestic dispute occurring at the residence. The caller advised they wanted an individual removed from the home. Dispatch could hear yelling in the background and the called reported that her girlfriend tried to choke her. Officers arrived at the residence and attempted to make contact with the reporting party, herein “Victim.” As the officers approached the home, loud banging and crashing sounds were coming from inside the residence.
Victim eventually answered the door and identified herself as the caller. She advised that her girlfriend, QUINSHA LASHAY BISHOP [DOB REDACTED], was upstairs destroying her belongings. BISHOP refused to come down the stairs in the home to speak to officers. Officers followed her into the bedroom area. BISHOP made comments about “getting her firearm”. Several firearm magazines were observed scattered around the room. BISHOP refused to tell officers what had happened between her and Victim. While trying to discuss the incident and the comments about a firearm, BISHOP said, “you shoot me I shoot you.” BISHOP continued to be uncooperative and verbally aggressive toward the officers.
She said, “I will shoot that b*tch and anybody else.” Officers also spoke with Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had injuries to her face and neck that included swelling, scratches, and light amounts of surface blood on the scratches. Victim [NAME REDACTED], an argument ensued between her and BISHOP. Eventually, the verbal argument escalated when BISHOP put Victim in a chokehold. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was restricted during this chokehold and she could not breathe. BISHOP told Victim “I’ll kill you.” When Victim was able to get out of BISHOP’s grasp, BISHOP went upstairs, and then returned back downstairs with a firearm.
BISHOP did not point the firearm at Victim but made comments along the lines of “I’ll kill us both in this b****” while she held the firearm. Victim said she felt afraid and in danger during this interaction. Victim gave officers permission to search the residence for the firearm. Victim described the firearm as a 9 mm Smith Pistol. A 9 mm black Smith and Wesson pistol was located in the garage of the residence.
