On May 16, 2026, law enforcement responded to a residence in Inver Grove Heights after Victim (a fully identified adult female) reported receiving numerous threatening calls from the father of her children ROSEVELT MCCLENTON [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Victim [NAME REDACTED] called her repeatedly demanding to pick up their shared children. When Victim [NAME REDACTED] could not pick up the kids today, Defendant threatened to come to the residence, kill her, and take the kids. While talking to Victim, law enforcement observed Defendant repeatedly calling Victim’s phone and leaving voicemails.
Victim showed law enforcement her call logs which showed approximately 21 phone calls to Victim’s phone from Defendant’s number and from a number with “No Caller ID” prior to Victim [NAME REDACTED], and an additional 8 calls after Victim [NAME REDACTED]. The voicemail messages left by the number with “No Caller ID” were from Defendant. In the voicemail messages Defendant is constantly yelling, swearing, calling Victim names, and screaming that he was going to come get the kids. Some of the threats contained in the messages include: “I will knock your goofy a** out” “I’m about to push the f*** up.” “I’m about to make you’re a** kill yourself today.” “I’m not playing games no more.” “I’m gonna smack the f*** out you.” “Anybody want smoke with me dies.” “We’re going to war today.” “Everybody dies, I’m not f****** playing no more b****.” “I promise you.
Laugh now, cry later. Is this what you wanna do?” “If I gotta snatch my kids up by some hands, that’s what I’m gonna do.” Victim reported a history of domestic violence and being scared for her safety. 3 19HA-CR-26-708 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 5/19/2026 Defendant called Victim’s mother and was verbally aggressive towards her as well. Law enforcement spoke to Defendant who continued to yell aggressively and swear at officers. Defendant’s behavior on the call with law enforcement was irrational and included Defendant telling law enforcement they’d have to kill him.
Defendant has a prior qualified domestic violence related conviction within the past ten years against the same Victim. Defendant was convicted of gross misdemeanor Interference with and Emergency Call on 3/10/2021. The State respectfully requests a warrant in order to ensure Victim’s safety and the establishment of conditions of release given the nature and severity of the threats, the history of violence, and the fact that Defendant’s current whereabouts are unknown.
