On February 4, 2026, an officer with the Eagan Police Department received a call from W. G. B., an adult man fully identified in police reports, regarding a stolen vehicle. W. G. B. Reported that he operates a car dealership in Arkansas and that roughly four months ago he provided a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox to Amaris Dasia Dashayea Coleman [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter “Defendant,” as a loaner vehicle while W. G. B.’s dealership repaired Defendant’s vehicle, and she was searching for a replacement. W. G. B. Stated that he had given Defendant the option to purchase the Equinox, and that Defendant had agreed to pay for the vehicle, but that she had stopped responding to all communications and did not make any payments on the vehicle.
W. G. B. Further reported that he had reported the vehicle stolen in Arkansas and followed the process required by Arkansas law enforcement when doing so. W. G. B. Elaborated that he had tracked Defendant to Minnesota by her social media posts. Officer confirmed that the vehicle had in fact been reported stolen and confirmed that Defendant was noted as the individual who would be driving the vehicle. W. G. B. Called again at approximately 6:44 pm on the same day, stating that Defendant was present at the Residence Inn.
The vehicle was subsequently located and pulled over in the area of [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Eagan, Minnesota, which is within Dakota County. Defendant was initially arrested; however, she was later allowed to collect her items from the vehicle and leave the scene. The vehicle was turned over to W. G. B.
