On or about April 26, 2026, at approximately 1:55 A.M., Itasca County Sheriff’s Deputy J. O’Toole was dispatched to a disturbance in the 1000 block of Gary Street, Calumet, Itasca County, Minnesota. The reporting party indicated that EVA MARIE SCHINZING, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant, got upset at his juvenile child, born in 2016, hereinafter Child Victim, and pushed him out of her house. Upon arrival, Deputy O’Toole spoke with E. A. F., who lives with and is in a romantic relationship with the Defendant.
E. A. F. Confirmed the Defendant was inside the residence, but he had not seen the Defendant push Child Victim. The Defendant did not come to the door at this time, but another individual, J. R. M., hereinafter Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. Did, and stated that the Defendant would not come to the door. Eventually, the Defendant spoke with Deputy O’Toole and stated he did not push Child Victim. Deputy O’Toole indicated he would speak with Child Victim during the day and cleared the scene. Shortly thereafter, around 3:40 A.M., Deputy O’Toole was again dispatched to the 1000 block of Gary Street, Calumet, Itasca County, Minnesota.
The same reporting party called indicated that the Defendant had entered his house uninvited and began yelling at him about the reporting party calling law enforcement on her and that she was going to call child [NAME REDACTED]. When Deputy O’Toole arrived on scene, E. A. F. Came out the door with his hands up and said that the Defendant was going crazy. E. A. F. Was unaware that the Defendant went into reporting party’s house to yell at reporting party. At that point, Deputy O’Toole walked back out to Gary Street where he heard yelling.
The reporting party was walking down the street and was upset. The reporting party explained that the Defendant beat up Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. And M. L. M. T, hereinafter Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. T. Victim [NAME REDACTED]M., the reporting party’s daughter, and Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. T., girlfriend of J. R. M., reported that the Defendant was upset that the reporting party contacted law enforcement and was therefore upset with Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. And Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. T. Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. T. Reported that they told the Defendant that they were not going to do anything about the reporting party contacting law enforcement, and in response, the Defendant had Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. And Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. T. Leave the house.
When they were in the front yard, the Defendant attacked them. The Defendant pulled Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. T.’s hair and punched her on the top of her head. Victim [NAME REDACTED]M. Reported that the Defendant punched her on the side of the face. Deputy O’Toole observed a small, red mark on the right side of Victim [NAME REDACTED]M.’s face. Deputy O’Toole then spoke with E. A. F. Again, who indicated that he had tried getting the Defendant off of Victims J. R. M. And M. L. M. T, as she was hitting them.
