On May 3, 2025, Eagan police officers responded to a theft report at the Eagan Outlet Mall in Eagan, Dakota County, MN. Loss prevention informed Dispatch that three females were concealing merchandise, and one of the females was using security sensor remover. This female was identified as ASHATI SHANAE BLOODSAW [DOB REDACTED]. Officers arrived and made contact with the females in the store. Officers informed them why they were stopped. When asked to look inside Defendant’s purse, she removed several items of clothing.
Stolen merchandise was found in the other females’ bags as well. An officer spoke with the reporting party (RP), who is the store manager. RP had initially noticed the females because the child [NAME REDACTED] was very loud and causing a distraction. She observed the females concealing merchandise in their bags. RP observed Defendant use a magnet to remove several security sensors from clothing items before placing the clothes in her bag. The officer and RP watched the surveillance video and observed all three females enter the store together.
RP stated that they were continuously talking with each other, showing clothing items to each other, and concealing items. Between Defendant and the other two females, the total loss to the store was $655.50. A review of Defendant’s criminal history shows a prior conviction for felony Theft, entered on September 10, 2024, in Hennepin County Court File #••-CR-••-••••.
