Probable Cause
On March 9, 2026, officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the city of Burnsville, Dakota County, Minnesota. Officers were met by the mother and grandmother of ANTWONE BENARD JORDAN [DOB REDACTED]. That day, JORDAN became upset after speaking to someone online via his computer in the basement of his mother’s home. JORDAN began loudly damaging the basement--tearing off almost all of the sheetrock covering one wall down to the studs. JORDAN’s Mother went downstairs to calm JORDAN down.
JORDAN pushed her with both hands and proceeded upstairs. Upstairs with his mother and grandmother, Jordan rushed toward his mother, wrapped his arms around her and began to “tussle.” Eventually, JORDAN ran out of the home and drove away in a yellow 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. A nearby officer was notified that JORDAN was driving in a Yellow Monte Carlo and that there was probable cause to arrest him for domestic assault. That officer then observed the vehicle drive past him and saw JORDAN in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
The officer turned his lights and sirens on to stop JORDAN. JORDAN did not stop, but accelerated at a high rate of speed, and drove past a stop sign to evade the officer. Because the officer was driving on a residential street with children and other persons standing in the adjacent roadway, the officer terminated his pursuit. JORDAN and the vehicle were soon after discovered in a parking lot. Jordan fled on foot but was ultimately apprehended.
