On August 7, 2024, at approximately 10:00 A.M., detectives with the Apple Valley Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence located on the 7900 block of Lower Hamlet Court, Apple Valley, Dakota County, Minnesota. Detectives secured the occupants of the residence, including ADAM MICHAEL TENORE [DOB REDACTED]. In the basement, near the bottom of the stairway, detectives noticed a closed door. The doorknob required a code to open. Detectives spoke with J. T., one of the other occupants.
J. T. Indicated that the room was locked and used for her and TENORE’s storage purposes. J. T. Refused to provide the code but agreed to unlock the door. When one of the detectives approached the locked door, he saw TENORE descend the stairs from the first floor, walk towards the locked door, and open the door. Detectives entered the room, which appeared to be a storage room. Nobody was located inside the room. Detective notices shelving units, a large filing cabinet, and a table with a computer.
During a search of the storage room, detectives located suspected controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. Some of the suspected drug-related items included suspected marijuana, marijuana wax, THC concentrate, THC gummies, digital scales, a heat sealer, and packaging. Detective also located suspected psilocybin mushrooms inside the storage room. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension analyzed the suspected psilocybin mushrooms. The BCA determined that the substance contained psilocybin, a Schedule I controlled substance, and weighed approximately 41.38 grams, plus or minus 0.20 grams.
TENORE opened a safe located in his bedroom closet. The safe contained a large amount of U. S. Currency. In a statement, TENORE stated that the items belonged to him and J. T. When asked about the items inside the storage room, specifically not the marijuana, TENORE indicated that the items were “personal stuff”. TENORE indicated that the substances were “ours” but indicated that the suspected LSD 2 19HA-CR-26-839 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 6/15/2026 and acid were his. In a statement, B. T., another occupant of the residence, denied that the items located in the locked storage room belonged to him.
B. T. Stated that the controlled substances belonged to TENORE and J. T. B. T. Stated that the rented the bottom level of the residence but did not have access to the storage room. B. T. Denied having a key to the door or knowing the passcode for the doorknob.
