During the course of their investigation, Detectives learned the following information: Victim 1 and Victim 2 are husband. On April 5, 2026, they left their residence at approximately 10:00 A.M. Leaving witness [NAME REDACTED] at the residence with the instruction that they lock up the house when they leave. Home surveillance footage shows A. W., his girlfriend, and a child [NAME REDACTED] at 12:18P.M. Through a garage service door. At 5:23P.M., a dark blue Mitsubishi Outlander backs into the side service driveway.
A light skinned black male, tall and thin in stature, wearing white shoes, lighter colored blue jeans, a green coat over a white shirt, and a black and grey hat with an orange brim exits the driver's side rear. Victims identify this individual as TRAVON THOMAS FERRARA [DOB REDACTED]. FERRERA is seen walking towards the front door of the residence and sitting on the porch where he appears to be talking on the phone. Around 6:05P.M. FERRARA left the front steps and walked toward the back yard where he approached the rear door in the backyard a minute later.
At 6:09 P.M. Another male who arrived with FERRARA enters the house through the front door. The two later exit the home and meet with a third male near the corner of the garage. FERRARA and the males then enter and exit them home multiple times. FERRARA is seen on home surveillance exiting the at 6:15P.M. Wearing boots and carrying shoes. Victims reported these boots belonged to FERRARA and they had been left at their home last fall and were located in the locked master bedroom. Victims returned home to find multiple doors unlocked and the master bedroom door open, which had previously been closed and locked.
Victims learned multiple jewelry items and a firearm were missing, that were present before they left the home. Victims stated all jewelry was taken from the master bedroom, and the firearm was taken from its case which was kept in the desk drawn in the main floor office. These items taken included: a gold halo diamond wedding ring, a yellow gold diamond wedding ring, a yellow cold wedding ring, two pairs of diamond earrings, a white gold diamond bracelet, a yellow gold diamond bracelet, a yellow gold chain, a cross, a pair of Louis Vuitton sunglasses, and a black Tisas 1911 Double- Stack 9mm (Serial #: T0620-24ED01481) with a red dot sight.
These items total more than $44,000. Officers observed the locking system on the rear patio door to be broken. Victims stated the door worked properly prior to this incident. Officers also noted there to be a displacement to the door trim of the master bedroom. Victim 2 informed law enforcement that he had received a phone call from FERRERA requested to meet him to get his phone back. Victim 2 explained to FERRERA it was Easter and he wasn't available to meet him but the phone was in the basement on the counter.
