On November 17, 2025, at approximately 10:56 A.M., a police officer responded to a past-action theft at a residence in Eagan, Dakota County, Minnesota. The reporting party (hereinafter “Victim”) stated that several pieces of jewelry were missing, and she suspected a house cleaner had stolen them. Victim stated that house cleaning company had been at their home on October 24, 2025. Victim stated 2-3 workers were present. Later, Victim noticed that two rings were missing. The first ring was 14 carat yellow gold with an emerald – valued at $2,500.00. The second ring was 14 carat yellow gold –valued at $2,750.00. Victim reported the theft to the cleaning company owner.
A police officer spoke with the cleaning company owner. The owner believed the thief was DANNIELLE ROSE BOYD [DOB REDACTED]. The owner knew that BOYD was having financial difficulties and other hardships. Later, the owner informed law enforcement that she confronted BOYD about the theft and BOYD admitted to committing numerous thefts, including this one. Using a law enforcement tool, the police officer searched for BOYD’s pawn history. The police officer observed 19 items had been pawned by BOYD between 10/20/2025 and 11/16/2025, including multiple pieces of jewelry.
The pawn records showed that BOYD had pawned Victim’s rings on October 24, 2025, for $1,062.90. Police officers were able to recover the rings from the pawn store. An investigator spoke with BOYD on the phone. BOYD explained that she experienced financial difficulties and resorted to stealing jewelry from clients’ homes. BOYD explained that after stealing, she would sell the jewelry at pawn shops. BOYD still had one stolen ring in her possession and agreed to provide it to the investigator. During the investigation, it was determined that BOYD also stole and pawned jewelry from other victims totaling more than $10,000.00.
